Da oltre un secolo, l’ernia inguinale viene curata con apparente sicurezza ma percepita con sorprendente superficialità. Con un linguaggio semplice ad accessibile anche a lettore comune ed ai pazienti, questo libro (pubblicato anche in lingua inglese) svela ciò che la medicina ha preferito non vedere: le verità nascoste dietro una delle condizioni più comuni e, al tempo stesso, più fraintese della chirurgia.

Libro (in lingua inglese) sulla complessa fisiopatologia della regione inguinale. Documenta i cambiamenti macroscopici e strutturali dell’anatomia funzionale della regione inguinale. Analizza il controverso tema della classificazione delle ernie inguinali documentando fotograficamente l’esistenza di tipi di ernia spesso misconosciute. Infine, con una inedita sequenza di immagini istologiche, finalmente svela i veri meccanismi biologici responsabili della patogenesi delle protrusioni inguinali:
